Well, maybe not famous, but I’m the first person quoted and the last (that makes me the expert!!! *cough*) in AfterElton.com’s article on gay webcomics entitled “It’s a Bird! It’s a Plane! It’s Gay Webcomics!”
I did the interview for this months ago, and frankly, I forgot about it! So it was fun to see it hit the web. Part of what I liked about the article is that it brought up both the pluses and the minuses of webcomics. For instance, the author, Lyle Masaki, mentions a number of really good webcomics with gay material but also notes the following:
For fans of self-published comics, it’s frustratingly familiar to see creators burn out and leave a story unfinished
Of course, a story being left unfinished might be a charge leveled at the Big 2 too, eh? I’m still smarting over the cancellation of Thriller, which as far as I’m concerned was cancelled after issue #8 when the creators were sacked.
Just another reason to love YouTube.
